I do offer continuing consultation to existing clients whom I have already seen.  However, it is impossible to really do an initial consult over the phone as I am not able to visibly assess baby, mother's breasts, positioning, or effectiveness of baby's suck.  For this reason I only do a minimal intake questionnaire over the phone initially and then attempt to see new clients within a day or so.  I offer suggestions as to how to keep milk supply until I am able to see a new client.
