I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) as well as a Registered Nurse. I have over 20 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) nursing, giving me a comprehensive background with babies and breastfeeding issues. I have extensive experience with a wide array of breastfeeding problems, including prematurity, multiples, cardiac conditions, cleft lip/palate, seizure disorders, and diabetes. Having spent that amount of time in direct contact with the NICU population, I am an expert in correcting breastfeeding issues of any baby. Additional training makes me thoroughly competent in maternal lactation issues as well, such as mastitis, maternal medications, breast development and breast surgeries, and pumping. I am very easy to work with and will help you with any aspect of lactation, whether it's breastfeeding, pumping and bottle feeding, or a combination of both. Non-judgemental, practical advice and support is my philosophy.
